Anthony de Rothschild

Anthony de Rothschild (1887-1961) was a prominent Anglo-Jewish philanthropist and banker. Rothschild studied at the University of Cambridge and fought in the First World War. In 1938, Rothschild was appointed chairman of a subcommittee of the Council for German Jewry, and after the war assisted with the Central British Fund scheme to accommodate child survivors in Britain.
