Erich Koch was born on the 19 June 1896 and died on the 12 November 1986. Koch was one of the first members of the Nazi Party, joining in 1922. Koch was Gauleiter of East Prussia from 1928 to 1945, and become Reichskommissariat of the Ukraine from 1941 to 1944. After the war ended, Koch was captured and charged with war crimes. He was sentenced to death, but this was later commuted to life imprisonment.
